The action of faith

We look to judge people by our standards. We use a sliding scale. People like to compare their live to Hitler. If your life is worst then Hitler then you have serious problems.
God will judge our sins. No amount of good deeds can clean the soul.
A person can sin by getting drunk and have issues. Then the person can stop drinking, that person's sins are not forgiven by the good action.
A person needs to realize that everyone is a sinner. We must believe and repent from our sins.
Rahab was living among a culture that was going to be judge. There were Jewish spies in the neighborhood.
She knew the God of the Bible was real. So she protected and helped the spies. She wanted to be right with the Lord. Her action displayed that God was real. She was a hooker, she knew that she was sinner that needed to be forgiven.
A person may be in the sinful culture. That person can leave that culture by receiving a new heart.
A person can believe upon the Lord Jesus and repent from their sins. That person will a new actions and desires.
Our deeds can't save us but it display the change in our hearts. Rahab was saved because of her faith and not he deeds. But good deeds in a believer is because of faith in Jesus.

Hebrews 11:31

By faith the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed the spies, was not killed with those who were disobedient.

The walls of life

We will have walls of life. The barriers seems so huge and that our lives have no hope.
Israel faced many walls in life. They were going against the city of  Jericho.
They cried to the Lord and the Lord had an interesting plan. They didn't attack the city but walked around the walls of Jericho.
This plan seems crazy for mankind. If you want to win a battle, you must be aggressive.
But the Lord was in control and he wanted the glory.
The issues with all of us is that we will receive success and we don't give credit to the Lord.
This plan would give God the glory.
We must listen to the plan of the Lord and trust in him.
We will not regret life, if we put our everything to the Lord. God desire to strengthen our faith.
God will bring trials to increase our faith.
If a person wants to get physically stronger then that person needs to lift heavy weights.
The problems of our lives will makes us lift, the weight can seem overbearing. We must not live by sight but by faith.
I have my trials and you have your trials. We must go to the Lord and listen to him.
I don't have a solution for your problem but this statement. Go to the Lord.

Hebrews 11:30

By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after the army had marched around them for seven days.

The impossible can happen

Many people have an idea that the impossible can't happen. We can become very depressed in life. This is a half-truth. The impossible can't happen when we are not align with God, and we do everything in our strength.
There are always situations when there is no hope. So people will kill themselves or let themselves go.
We must not look towards our wisdom but depend on the Lord.
When a person looks for a job, it can seem that there are no jobs. When a person looks for a mate, then it seems that there are no match. When a person have bad health, then it seems that that person will always be sick.
But we must go to God in prayer. Prayer is not magic words that makes God move. Prayer is might to connect our wills towards his will.
If we pray and God wants us to move; therefore, we must go in faith. I need to say this because many Christians don't understand this view point.
Moses was leading Israel down in Egypt. God wanted Moses to leave that country. The only problem is that the Jews had millions of people and the Red Sea was in the way.
So God would part the Red Sea. This is impossible for man but not for God. Moses believed the Lord and the Lord parted the sea.
It wasn't down because of Moses's faith but the power of the Lord.
The Egyptians tried to walk in the Red Sea but they died. When a person goes against the Lord, then that person will always lose.
It seems that the wicked always win but on Judgement Day, they will lose.
So do you have issues in your life? Go to God in prayer and have an honest heart. I don't know what God will do but submit to him.
The impossible can happen, only when you walk with the Lord.
So firm up your relationship with Jesus. But if you have no relationship with the Lord. Go to the Lord Jesus ask for forgiveness. Then you are on the right path.

Hebrews 11:29

By faith the people passed through the Red Sea as on dry land; but when the Egyptians tried to do so, they were drowned.

Forever or now

Moses was saved from death.  God saved his life and he was in the house of the leader of Egypt.
Moses was blessed to be in that house but he knew he had a higher calling.
He could have chosen to follow the gods of the Egyptians but he rejected that idea.
Sin looks very good at the time but it is poison to the soul. When a person craves into sin then that weakens the person's life.
Moses heard the voice of the Lord and he followed the voice. I like Moses because he is just like me.
He wanted to serve the Lord but he messed up.
The Lord didn't give up on Moses but he kept on drawing Moses to his side.
We might have times of wandering but the Lord will bring back his people. Moses got back on the horse and he knew the Lord.
We need to reject the sin that seems so pleasurable and follow the Lord's way.
Sin is fun for a second then it kills. But the Lord'w way is forever and blessed is a person that keeps him.
We think that this earth is all there is, but we will leave this planet soon. We either go up or down.
When we face the Lord, someday, then we will be thankful to know him and obey him.

Hebrews 11:24-28

24 By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. 25 He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin. 26 He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward. 27 By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible. 28 By faith he kept the Passover and the application of blood, so that the destroyer of the firstborn would not touch the firstborn of Israel.

Walk by faith

It is true that people need faith. We must look back at God's faithfulness and then we can believe the future.
This are many issues in this life. Some problems seems like they don't have a reason.
But we must look for God for wisdom.
We have heard of Moses. There were an edict to kill all the children. It is true that the followers of  Jesus needs to follow the rules of the land but if it goes against his will then they can break that law.
The believers needs to pay taxes and obey the speed limit but if there is a doctor and the government wants a doctor to perform an abortion.  Then the doctor needs to practice his faith. Or an policy that tells people to denounce Jesus. Then the believer should reject this idea.
Moses parents knew that God had a plan for Moses. The Egyptian government wanted to kill all the Hebrew babies.
So the parents hid Moses and kept him safe.  God was protecting Moses so he could do God's plan.
Satan wants to destroy the people of God but God will protect his people. His purpose will always happen.
Satan is the current king of this world but God is the Monarch. He only allow somethings that Satan wants.
Satan couldn't touch Moses.
We need to follow the will of the Lord. I don't know why some events happens but we must keep our eyes on Jesus.
We need to be lead by the Holy Spirit. Our faith is based on facts and truth. It is not based on man's current ideas and our feelings.
I am glad that Moses' parents trusted in the Lord.
Put your worries onto the Lord. He will guide you.
My current issue is looking for a job. So I need to trust in the Lord. Then there will be another issue.
So the key is Jesus in control and learning to trust him, even if the situation is crazy.

Hebrews 11:23

By faith Moses’ parents hid him for three months after he was born, because they saw he was no ordinary child, and they were not afraid of the king’s edict.

Work here but my soul is at home

I work on this earth. I may not like the business of money and numbers. I feel it cheapens people but it is the model that we have.
We need to get a good education and do the steps but work here but the soul should not be at home.
Joseph worked in the world's system and God allowed him to succeeded in every sense.
Joseph knew that his time of death was approaching. So he had his last wishes.
He told his people that they needed to honor the Lord. And when they went to back to the Holy Land, that they should bury his bones there.
He lived in Egypt and he honored the Lord. But Egypt was never home.  He was sold as a slave and went to the south land.
I need to work and do what the Lord wants but my job or money is not my home.
My resting place is in heaven and God. I look forward for the day when I can say my last wishes on this earth.
Joseph focused on the Lord in the good times and the bad times. The trials of his life made him stronger in the Lord. He trusted in the Lord's power and not his wisdom.
The trials of my life will keep me leading me back to Jesus. And when I have only a few days to live, I pray that my life would reflect the word's of Joseph.
This job lost has made me focus more on God and less on self. This job lost has made me long for heaven and not desire the sinful nature.
My journey of faith is always turning. I don't know what tomorrow will bring but one day, I will say my last words and be with my Lord.

Hebrews 11:22

By faith Joseph, when his end was near, spoke about the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt and gave instructions concerning the burial of his bones.

Life is more than money and houses

There is nothing wrong with money and houses but we must place God in the first spot of our hearts.
Jacob was giving success while he was living on this planet. God granted him houses and money.
It is important to run a good company or be the best worker but God must be above them.
Jacob on his death bed was not talking how much money he made but he wanted to blessed his grandchildren.
This shows me that God is the most important being. Then we must love and honor people.
A believer can't bring money to heaven but they are rewarded for how much they loved God and people.
Jacob thought his grandchildren were beautiful. He wanted them to knew the Lord.
Jacob then worshiped the Lord. We must be thankful for this life and thank the Lord. We must be honoring the Lord in every area of life.
One day this will happen. We will die then we either go to heaven or hell. The people that believed and repented will go to heaven. Jesus is the only way to heaven.
I hope you realize that God and people are more important than the house or money.

Hebrews 11:21

By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of Joseph’s sons, and worshiped as he leaned on the top of his staff.
