He can relate to us

Human beings wants to relate to each other. If we can't relate to someone then there is no connection.
We attempt to connect with people when we enter their world. If we are outside of their life then we can't know the person.
God wanted to connect to the people but there was a problem. Everyone have sinned so there is an disconnect with the Lord.
In the Old Testament, there were priest that offered sacrifices to the Lord. This was great but it was based on credit and it didn't gave true forgiveness so Jesus came to this earth.
If the guilty wants to be forgiven then an innocent party have to take its place.
Jesus was the perfect sacrifice for mankind. He is God and he lived a perfect life. He died on the cross and arose from the dead.
A person need to repent from their sins and follow the Lord. He is the only way to heaven.
If a person have faith in Jesus then the fear of death disappears.
It is nice to know that Jesus knows the difficult life on this earth and he has conquered every issue.

  

Hebrews 2:14-18

¹⁴ Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— ¹⁵ and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. ¹⁶ For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham’s descendants. ¹⁷ For this reason he had to be made like them, fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people. ¹⁸ Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.

The royal family

People like to focus on the royal family over in the United Kingdom. The press always watches what the family does. People wonder the feeling to be a part of the great family.
A person can be in a greater family than the royal the family. There is a higher calling.
There is a kingdom that the world will not pay attention to but this kingdom is real.
The Kingdom of God is real and God desire to know people. But there is one problem between mankind and God. It is called sin and everyone is a sinner.
One sin leads people to hell and God knew that, so Jesus came to this world. He lived a perfect life and died on the cross. He arose from the dead. If a person repents and follow the Lord then that person will have God in their hearts.
The deliverance is based on God's grace and mercy and not on mankind's good deeds.
If we know God and go to heaven, it is based on God's goodness.
I know that I have received pardon from the Lord, so I desire to please the Lord in my mind, soul and actions.

Hebrews 2:10-14

 

¹⁰ In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered. ¹¹ Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters.¹² He says,

“I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters;
    in the assembly I will sing your praises.”

¹³ And again,

“I will put my trust in him.”

And again he says,

“Here am I, and the children God has given me.”

¹⁴ Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil—

If God was a man?

There is a story of some ants and they were in trouble. The issue was that the ants didn't know that they didn't have serious issues.
A man show that the ants were in trouble and he told the ants. The ants were afraid of the giant man so they runaway.
The man wanted to help the ants and knew this plan wasn't working so he became an ant and told the community.
Mankind have a problem. We are doomed to failure but God wants to help us.  The humans can't handle the glory of the Lord in our current bodies. But he wants an relationship with us.
We have sinned against the Lord so Jesus came to this earth. Jesus is God the Son. He lived a perfect life and died on the cross for our sins. He then conquered death and there is a bridge to heaven.
We must believe and repent from our sins. If we do these things then we can escape the judgement of God. He doesn't want to punish us but he must punish sin.
We are in need of God.

Hebrews 2:5-9

⁵ It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking. ⁶ But there is a place where someone has testified:

“What is mankind that you are mindful of them,
    a son of man that you care for him?
⁷ You made them a little lower than the angels;
    you crowned them with glory and honor
⁸     and put everything under their feet.”

In putting everything under them, God left nothing that is not subject to them. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to them. ⁹ But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.

Don't disbelieve

I am studying the book of Hebrews. The book is written to the Jews but it helps every believer in Jesus.
This book will bridge the Old Testament with the New Testament.
I started to read the second chapter of this book, I was a little confuse then I prayed. I studied some more and this is my conclusion.
The author was explaining Jesus in this book. Jesus came for the salvation of the Jews and then the non-Jews.
Many Jews didn't believe in the Messiah because Jesus is the Messiah. God drew many Jews to his side but many Jews refused to believe the truth.
If a person refuses Jesus then there is no hope for them. This is true for a Jewish person, it is good that they are Jews but your nationality don't save a person.
It is faith in Jesus and the Jewish person needs to believe and follow Jesus.
If you are not a Jew, you need to believe in the Lord Jesus. Your job will not save you or being a good person. Everyone is a sinner that needs forgiveness. 
Everyone can be pardon, if they desire. The problem is that people love their sin and so reject the Lord.
Jesus came to this earth and proved that he was the Lord. He fulfilled hundred of prophecies and did miracles signs, so there is no excuse.
The world system seems so great but it is a dead end. So go on the forever road with Jesus.

Hebrews 2:1-4

 We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. ² For since the message spoken through angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment, ³ how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him. ⁴ God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.

God and angels

I like the topic of angels. Many people will talk about the angelic beings. We need to place Jesus higher than the angels.

There is one God but there are three persons, so three in one. There is only one God. 

Jesus is God, the Father is God and the Holy Spirit is God but there is only one God.

Jesus is equal to the Father. There is no angels that are equal to the Lord.

Jesus is upon the throne of God. The angels worships the Lord before the throne of God.

Jesus is the great Judge.  We will all face Jesus on Judgement Day. 
He is the great Judge and he is the Maker.
We can see a building and found out who made that building. If we want to know who made the mountains, it is Jesus who made the mountains. 
It is nice to know that we can know the Maker of everything. The angels are important but Jesus is the cornerstone. 
The angels will help God in his will but the angels are not the Lord.

Hebrews 1:5-14

 

⁵ For to which of the angels did God ever say,

“You are my Son;
    today I have become your Father”?

Or again,

“I will be his Father,
    and he will be my Son”?

⁶ And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says,

“Let all God’s angels worship him.”

⁷ In speaking of the angels he says,

“He makes his angels spirits,
    and his servants flames of fire.”

⁸ But about the Son he says,

“Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever;
    a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.
⁹ You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness;
    therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions
    by anointing you with the oil of joy.”

¹⁰ He also say

“In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth,
    and the heavens are the work of your hands.
¹¹ They will perish, but you remain;
    they will all wear out like a garment.
¹² You will roll them up like a robe;
    like a garment they will be changed.
But you remain the same,
    and your years will never end.”

¹³ To which of the angels did God ever say,

“Sit at my right hand
    until I make your enemies
    a footstool for your feet”?

¹⁴ Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?

We need to understand this idea

I have been unemployed for a month. When I first received the information of not working, I focused on the job search. This was a blessing because it made me realize that Jesus is the beginning and end.
We will lose jobs and another job will hire us.
When we are in the season of life. We must look to Jesus to enter that season, then we must look to Jesus in the middle of the season. And we must allow the Lord to see us through the end.
A person could have an relationship, every relationship will have issues. So Jesus needs to be in the middle.
Jesus is God and He is the Messiah. He came to fulfill the Old Testament. He is greater than mankind. He is greater than the angels.
Many people will worship the angels but angels should not receive worship. They are servants for the Lord. The angels will worship the Lord Jesus in heaven.
I am blessed to live in the time period, right now. The Old Testament prophets longed for the day of Jesus on this earth.
I can know the Lord that created me. He can help me in every minute of my life, I must keep seeking him.
The issues of life will cause us to look at our problems then if we are smart, we will give the car keys to the Lord. We need to allow the Lord Jesus to drive us.

Hebrews 1:1-4

In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, ² but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. ³ The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. ⁴ So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.

Look past the weeds

The believers in Jesus needs to look past the weeds of this present age. I would love it that everyone believes in Jesus and they would promote the Lord. But this event will not happen.
Every believer will face a small to great hatred from the culture. The culture of man will lift sin over the desire to follow Christ.
The country of Burma killed many Christians in the past. The country of China have murder many believers and the church have grown because of these events.
If a person lives in a country that seems peaceful towards Christianity, that person needs to reject the sinful ideas and follow the Bible. That person will face many funny looks.
The followers of Jesus needs to look past this life and focus on life after death. There are many items that seems attractive but I would die from the poison.
God has a better plan than the here and now. He will allow trials and pain in this life. The free-will of man causes pain and sorrow. The sorrow makes me not want to live by the principle of the world's system.
There is a land that is perfect and where God is at. The place have no sin.
The issue is that every man has sinned. We must look at the Lord Jesus. He is God and he came to this earth.
He died on the cross and arose from the dead. We must realize that we are sinners and we don't deserve eternal life and God's love. But God loves us and he wants to know us.
So we must believe on the Lord Jesus. We must hate our sins and follow the pure path of the Lord.
When a person trust in the Lord, they are forgiven. They will have a new desire to honor the Lord.
I look forward where a place that I will never sin, again. Where I can live in harmony with my Lord and the people around me.
This world will pass but we must focus on the coming kingdom of the Lord Jesus.

Hebrews 11:39-40

 ³⁹ These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, ⁴⁰ since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.

This is not a western idea

People don't like to the idea of suffering in the western countries. They want to avoid all trouble and have the easy life.
The world is opposed to the the Lord and will cause pain on his believers. The believers in Jesus in the Middle East and Asia will suffer greatly. The believers will be tortured and killed. The people that are killing them thinks they are doing a service for mankind and God.
Many will say this is bad, I agree. But this is the truth.
Some people may not die but they have to hide from their governments. They will not much food to eat and are always on the run.
These people are not looking at this life when the governments want to harm them. They are looking towards heaven.
The follower of Jesus home is not on this earth but in heaven.
The church in the western countries have a water-down Christianity. It is all about going to church on Sunday and forget God in the week.
They forgot that God wants all of our hearts. Their love should be so great towards the Lord that they will die for their faith.
I sometimes pray that more Christians die in the United States because of their faith. When the church get picked on then there are spiritual growth.
The spiritual condition of the believers in the United States are bad. Many are building their kingdoms and forgetting about the Lord.
There is nothing wrong with houses, jobs and money, but God has to be the main reason for the true believer.
I am grateful when I hear people losing their homes for the Lord and they refuse to denounce the Lord.
Or when a Muslim kills a Christians and the Christian sings praises until their death.
I know this is hard but this is the truth and is from my heart.
I am weak. I complain about not going on a certain vocation or the discomfort of looking for a job.
There are brothers and sisters that are in poverty because they refuse to renounce Jesus.
I have no right to complain. You have no right to complain.

 

Hebrews 11:35-38

 

³⁵ Women received back their dead, raised to life again. There were others who were tortured, refusing to be released so that they might gain an even better resurrection. ³⁶ Some faced jeers and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. ³⁷ They were put to death by stoning; they were sawed in two; they were killed by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated— ³⁸ the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, living in caves and in holes in the ground.

Conquer life

We have our battles in this life. We face issues, everyday. We can fear the problems and try to avoid the future. So we only focus on the past.
I can fall into this trap but I need to get out of the snare.
People in the Bible, also had issues. Gideon, Barak, Samson and Jephthah, about David and Samuel and the ^{prophets. 
Their issues seem so great that God was beyond their problems.  They could say that we don't have hope, so let's die.
But they depended on the Lord.   
When I have issues like health issues or looking for a job. I must depend on the Lord. God will put trials in our lives so we can have more faith.
We must stop relying on our wisdom and depend on the Lord.
We need to have an relationship with the Lord. We are sinners and we are separated from the Lord.  We must believe on the Lord Jesus and repent from our sins. Jesus lived a perfect life and died on the cross. He conquered death.
We must follow him. We must grow in the knowledge of the Lord. 
We must read the Bible. We must pray to the Lord and go to a church that teaches the Bible.
I will guarantee this, this life will have problems but we must focus on the Lord Jesus.}

Hebrews 11:32-34

 ³² And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson and Jephthah, about David and Samuel and the prophets, ³³ who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, ³⁴ quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies.
