The Trinity

The philosophical law of non-contradiction informs us that something cannot be both true and false at the same time and in the same sense. This is the fundamental law of all rational thought. And the doctrine of the Trinity does not violate it. This can be shown by stating first of all what the Trinity is not. The Trinity is not the belief that God is three persons and only one person at the same time and in the same sense. That  would be a contradiction. Rather; it is the belief that there are three persons in one nature. This may be a mystery, but it is not a contradiction. That is, it may go beyond reason's ability to comprehend completely, but it does not go against reason's ability to apprehend consistently.

Life has a silver lining

I would like to live in a world that is perfect. I would like not to have pain and my faith group would not suffer. This is not based on reality. This world will hate Jesus and hate on people that love Jesus.

1 Peter 1:6 says, "In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all times of trials." If we look at the Chinese government. There are internment camps that imprisoned Christians. These camps are not much of a vocation. Make to pray for these Christians. The world can be Woke but they will never take a stand for these lovely Christians in China.

The Chinese Christians and Christians that face death on a daily occurrence can have a solid spiritual life. They will depend on God more than the lukewarm church in the United States. When a person lift weights, it makes them have stronger muscles. The muscles will be sore but it will recover. 1 Peter 1:7 says, "These have to come so that your faith-of greater worth than gold, which perishes even through refined fire-may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Christ Jesus is revealed."

I have heard many people say to me that they will only believe if God appears to them. They want God to show his physical body to them that moment. We could not handle the glory of God, if God appears to us. It is clear that they never heard of the Ten Commandments and Moses. Moses couldn't see God face to face.

God wants us to have free-will. God has given us enough to believe and it goes back if a person loves sin. 1 Peter 1:8-9 says, "Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not now, you believe in him and filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the joy of your faith, the salvation of your souls."

Learning the right tricks

A Scientific American article admits (way back in 1991) that the "chicken and egg" problem of DNA and proteins has not been solved by the RNA hypothesis. DNA requires proteins to function and proteins are made from DNA. The actual laboratory observations are highly artificial with a "great deal of help from the scientists. " Miller's and Fox's experiments on the origin of proteins and proteinoids, which supposedly produced "protocells," are essentially dead ends. Clever attempts at producing life in the lab only demonstrate that life can be produce by intelligence. The story of life originating in clay crystals and deep-ocean vents are just stories, with no observational data to confirm them. In all, much more research is needed to even begin to answer the question of the origin of life in a materialistic framework. Creationists need only accept that God has created life and study the changes that have occurred since creation.

Natural selection, yes; evolution, no, Part Three

The presence of irreducible complexity in biological systems is another roadblock for naturalistic theories of evolution. It is hard to image how you could get to the top of the Burj Khalifa if you had to jump, but the task becomes easier when you learn there are stairs. This slow and gradual idea is how evolutionists explains the molecules-to-man idea that once seemed impossible to imagine. This works if all of steps can be used to build on one another, but what if this were not the case?

Darwin recognized this limit and acknowledge it in Origin of Species. In his book "Darwin's Black Box", Micheal Behe describes the biochemical details of several systems that need all of their parts present to function. Since removing one of the protein involved in blood-clotting causes catastrophic results, the system has irreducible complexity. This irreducible complexity is not only present within living organisms but also between them in ecological interactions. The interaction of fish and shrimp in cleaning symbiosis is one example. A large fish allows a small fish or shrimp to clean parasites from its mouth and then swims off without eating the cleaner. How could this relationship and other irreducibly complex systems, have evolved one step at a time?

Even if Darwin's idea can explain the maintenance of traits and variation within a kind, they do not address the actual origin in the first place. Darwin used the phrase "from use and disuse, from direct and indirect actions of the environment" to describes the origin of traits. This is exactly the view held by Lamarck, who is often contrasted with Darwin. Using a trait does not mean it will be passed to the offspring in a different form (stretching giraffe necks is often used as an example). As science has gathered more information about heredity, the idea of use and disuse has been shown to be false.

The origin of this new information is thought by neo-Darwinists to occur by random mutation-random mutations are the raw material for evolution. The case of fruit fly mutation and flu virus are often used as examples to support evolution. However, these mutations cannot explain the increase or origin of information in living systems. The creationist model-that information was created by the Supreme Designer-fits the observations much better than naturalistic evolution.

The Holy Spirit is God

The Holy Spirit is God. The same revelation from God that declares Christ to be the Son of God also mentions another member of the triunity of God called the Spirit of God, or Holy Spirit. He too is equally God with the Father and the Son and he too is a distinct person.

The Holy Spirit is called "God" (Acts 5:3-4). He possesses the attributes of deity, such as omnipresence (Psalm 139:7-12) and omniscience (1 Corinthians 2:10-11). He is associated with God the Father in creation (Genesis 1:2). He is involved with other members of the Godhead in the work of redemption (John 3:5-6; Romans 8:9-17, 17-27; Titus 3:5-7).  He is associated with other members of the Trinity under the "name" of God (Matthew 28:18-20). Finally, the Holy Spirit, along with the Father and Son, in New Testament benedictions (2 Corinthians 13:14).

Not only does the Holy Spirit possess deity but he also has a differential personality. That he is a distinct person is clear in the Scripture refers to "him" with personal pronouns (John 14:26; 16:13). Second, he does things only persons can do, such as teach (John 14:26; 1 John 2:27), convict of sin (John 16:7-11), and be grieved by sin (Ephesians 4:30). Finally, the Holy Spirit has intellect (1 Corithians 12:11), feelings (Ephesians 4:30).

That the three members of the Trinity are distinct persons is clear in that each is mentioned in distinction from the others. The Son prayed to the Father (John 17). The Father spoke from heaven about the Son at his baptism (Matthew 3:15-17). Indeed, the Holy Spirit was present at the same time, revealing that they coexist. Further, the fact that they have separate titles (Father, Son, Spirit) indicate they are not one person. Also, each member of the Trinity has special functions that help us to identify them. For example, the Father planned salvation (John 3:16; Ephesians 1:4); the Son accomplished it on the cross (John 17:4; 19:30; Hebrews 1:1-2) and at the Resurrection (Romans 4:25, 1 Corinthians 15:1-6), and the Holy Spirit applies it to the lives of the believers (John 3:5; Ephesians 4:30; Titus 3:5-7). The Son submits to the Father (1 Corinthians 11:3; 15:28), and the Holy Spirit glorifes the Son (John 16:14).

Living Hope

I am around many people that think that life is a joke. They are depressed with no hope. I have hope then I offer them it, they reject it. It is based on the soils of the heart.

Here is my hope, My hope is in Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:3 says, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead."

I will praise God because of His mercy. My soul was dead in sin and Jesus came to this world to win my heart. He lived an perfect life and died on the cross. He arose from the dead. He could do all this because Jesus is God. I was damned to hell but Jesus has saved me.

We all know that this world will fade someday. 1 Peter 1:4 says, "And into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade- kept in heaven for you." My birthday is coming up soon and my body is getting worst. If hope in in my body and life, I am in trouble. I will get an perfect life and a perfect body in heaven.

Many people are losing hope in life but I am getting more confidence. God will take care of me. 1 Peter 1:5 says, "who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time."

Jesus is the Lord and I can tell you!

Jesus claimed equality with God in other ways, He claimed the prerogatives of God. He claimed to be Judge of all (Matthew 25:31-46; John 5:27-30), but Joel quotes Yahweh as saying, "for there I will sit to judge all the nations on every side." (Joel 3:12). He said to a paralytic, "Son, your sins are forgiven" (Mark 2:5). The scribes correctly responded, "Who can forgive sins but God alone?" (verse 7). Jesus claimed the power to raise and judge the dead, a power which only God possesses (John 5:21, 29). But the Old Testament clearly taught that only God was the giver of life (Deuteronomy 32:39; 1 Samuel 2:6) and the one to raise the dead (Psalm 2:7).

Jesus claimed the honor due God, saying, "He who does not honor the Son does not the Father, who sent Him" (John 5:23). The Jews listening knew that no one should claim to be equal with God in this way and again they reached for stones (John 5:18). When asked at his Jewish trial," Are you the Christ (Messiah), the Son of the blessed One?" Jesus responded, "I am, and you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven" (Mark 14:61-62).

Natural selection, yes; evolution, no, Part Two

One shortcoming is that natural selection cannot plan ahead-an advantage one day may become a hindrance as the environment changes.  This can ultimately lead us to the extinction of a population despite its current success in the environment.  Natural selection favors specialization into distinct niches; when the environment changes, the specialization becomes a disadvantage.  It seems impossible that this process of undirected elimination could lead to an increase in variety and complexity.

Adaptations are usually presented in a way that makes that seem like a natural extension of natural selection.  There is limited evidence to suggest that natural selection can lead to new adaptations, but ample evidence shows that adaptations can lead to natural selection.  An adaptation must appear before natural selection can act on it.  Evolution cannot explain the appearance of these traits, but the Creator provided the variety needed in the original created kinds.

There are others that believe like you

I will begin with this statement. I live in Seattle, Washington, there are not many people that believe in the Bible and go to church. There are times when I wonder if I am the only person that believes in God.
Seattle's culture is all about sin and I dislike sin.

I enjoy the first two verses in First Peter, Chapter one. The first statement explains that Peter was an apostle of Christ. The beginning says, "Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ." God gave authority to Peter to tell people about Jesus.

I am sure that many people during this time felt the way that I had. Again, I can think that I am the only believer in the town.  God has placed believers everywhere to promote His Word.
1 Peter 1:1 says, "To God's elect, strangers in the world, scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia."

It is great to know that if an person knows Jesus, God knew that person would knew Him.
1 Peter 1:2 says, "who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance."

If an person are drawn by the Holy Spirit and repents from their sins. That person is God's elect. If an person rejects the drawing of the Holy Spirit, that person is not God's elect. The chose is up to that person.

Jesus died on the cross and arose from the dead. The cross was the penalty of our sins. We deserve hell forever. Again, if we repent from our sins, we are God's property.

Jesus is God

The Old Testament forbids giving worship to anyone other than God (Exodus 20:1-4; Deuteronomy 5:6-9), Jesus accepts worship (Matthew 8:2; 14:33; 15:25; 20:20; 28:17; Mark 5:6). The disciples attributes to him titles the Old Testament reserved for God, such as, "the first and the last" (Revelation 1:17; 2:8; 22:13)," "the true light" (1 John 1:9), the "rock" 1( Corinthians 10:4; 1 Peter 2:6-8; Psalm 18:2; 95:1), the "bridegroom" (Ephesians 5:28-33, Revelation 21:2), "the chief Shepherd" (1 Peter 5:40 and "the great shepherd" (Hebrews 13:20).
They attributed to Jesus the divine activities of creating (John 1:3, Colossians 1:15-16), redeeming (Hosea 13:14; Psalm 130:7), forgiveness (Acts 5:31; Colossians 3:13; Psalm 130:4; Jeremiah 31:34), and judging (John 5:26). They used titles of deity for Jesus. Thomas declared: "My Lord and my God!" (John 20:28). Paul calls Jesus, "the one in whom the fullness of deity dwells  bodily"
(Colossians 2:9). In Titus, Jesus is called, "our great God and Savior" (2:13), and the writer to the Hebrews says of Him, "Your throne, O God, is forever" (Hebrews 1:8). Paul says that, before Christ existed as a human being, He existed as God" (Philippians 2:5-8). Hebrews 1:5 says that Christ reflects God's glory of God, bears the stamp of His nature and upholds the universe. The prologue to John's Gospel also minces no words, stating, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was with God.' (John 1:1).

Natural selection, yes; evolution, no, Part One

The definition of the "fittest" individuals makes the notion of natural selection true based on circular reasoning. The fittest are the ones that survive and you can tell which are the fittest by seeing which one survive. (The fact that survival of the fittest is based on circular reasoning does not necessarily mean that the idea is false.) Fitness is controlled by many factors that allow the organism to survive and reproduce. The fastest zebra may be deaf and have a poor sense of smell. This combination would tend to eliminate his genes from a population. The only way to understand fitness is to study the first generation and then track the presence of those traits through time as successive generations are born.

Numerical values can be used to represent the fitness of individuals based on the ratio of individuals with different traits. These numbers can explain fitness, but they have no predictive power-you can only determine the fittest after they survive. Mice that hold still to avoid being seen by a soaring hawk are better able to survive, except when it is safer to run to their burrows to avoid being eaten-each may provide an advantage. If the fact that the survivors survived is used to prove evolution, the circular reasoning becomes a logic problem.

Another misconception is that the fittest variety must be increasing in number. Natural selection can still be acting on a population as its number are declining. There is no direction implied in natural selection-you can be the highest scorer (most fit) on the losing team. Competition happens between species (interspecific competition), but natural selection acts within species (intraspecific competition). The struggle for survival is not between lions and zebras, it is within the zebra population. This intraspecific struggle allows for change within kinds, but not from one kind to another.

Isolation

The word isolation is common now. Many people are staying at home without leaving the house. Many people are feeling lonely because they are not seeing anyone. That is an crime.
We need to each other, zoom meetings only do so much. Hebrew 13:22 says, "Brothers, I urge you to bear with my word of exhortation, for I have written you only a short letter."

Paul wanted to share his life with the Messianic Jews that were familiar with the Old Testament.
He long for friendships and deep conversion. I think that I would get along with Paul.
I enjoy talking about life deep issues. Paul and his friends shared an love for God's Word.
I will be honest, I miss going to church during the Covid lockdown.

I will go on to verse 23. It says, "I want you to know that our brother Timothy has been released. If he arrives soon, I will come with him to see you." Paul had an great friend with Timothy. We all need that one great friend that is by our sides. May we be that for someone.

Timothy, who was well known to the recipients of the letter, had recently been released from prison.
Timothy was humbled was faithful to Paul and the Lord Jesus. May we be faithful in this life.
There was an time before social media, people wrote letters. Then an person sent it by an messenger.

Hebrews 13:24 says, "Greet all your leaders and all God's people. Those from Italy send you their greeting." It is nice to be remembered. It seems that we all just numbers. When God knows us, it makes us not feel alone. We must remember people like God.

We all need more grace. Hebrews 13:25 says, "Grace be with you all."

Evolution-atheism

"Let me summarize views on what modern evolutionary biology tell us loud and clear...There are no gods, no purpose, no goal-directed forces of any kind. There is no life after death. When I die, I am absolutely certain that I am going to be dead. That's the end for me. There is no ultimate foundation for ethics, no ultimate meaning to life and no free will for human, either."

Dr. William B. Provine,
Professor of Biological Sciences, Cornell University

Romans 3:4 says, "Not at all! Let God be true, and every human being a liar."

Trinity (Jesus)

Trinity simple means "triunity."  God is not a simple unity; there is plurality in his unity. The Trinity is one of the greatest mysteries of the Christian faith. Unlike an antimony or paradox, which is a logical contradiction, the Trinity goes beyond reason but not against  reason. It is known only by divine revelation, so the Trinity is not the subject of natural theology but of revelation.

The word Trinity is not used in the Bible, the concept is clearly taught in the Bible. The logic of the Trinity is simple. Two biblical truths are evident in the Scripture, the logical conclusion of which is the Trinity:

1)There is one God.
2) There are three distinct persons who are God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Jesus is God. The Son is God. Jesus claimed to be Yahweh God. YHWH translated in some versions Jehovah, was the special name of God revealed to Mosses in Exodus 3:14, when God said said "I am who I am." In John 8:58, Jesus declares: "Before Abraham was, I am." This statement claims not only existence before Abraham, but equality with the "I am" of Exodus 3:14. The Jews around Him clearly understood His meaning and picked up stones to kill Him for blaspheming (Mark 14:62; John 8:58; 10:31-33; 18:5-6). Jesus also said, "I am the first and the last (Revelation 2:8).

Jesus took the glory of God. Isaiah wrote, "I am the Lord [Yahweh], that is my name; I will not give to another, or my praise to idols" (42:8) and, "This is what the Lord [Yahweh] says....I am the first, and I am the last; apart from me there is no God" (44:6). Likewise, Jesus prayed, Father, glorify me in Your presence with the glory I had with You before the world began" (John 17:5). But Yahweh had said He would not give His glory to another.

Peace in 2020

We live in an world that is going crazy. If you get on the social media, there is always the next big scare. People are trying to find comfort in this cold and jaded world.

Many people will smoke marijuana to ease their stress, their issues are not being solved.
Many people will party, their issues are not being solved.

If we want true peace then we need to put Jesus as number one in our lives. We need to know that Jesus is the Maker and He knows all. Anything else will not cut it.

I have been walking a lot and praying more. I have been asking the Lord to guide me. I am not the guy that smoke marijuana but I can put idols over God. We sell out our trust to easy for cheap gains.

Do we understand how great is our Jesus? Hebrews 13:20-21 says, " Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen."

Man: the image of God?

Evolutionists suggest that evolution is a  meaningless, undirected process and that  humans are a mere accident with no purpose or meaning in the universe. If humans evolved, then there is no eternal life and no God. This obviously flies in the face of Christian beliefs; we were created in the image of God. This view of creation gives our life meaning and purpose. Without God, there is no foundation for morality and each person can do what seems right at the time with no real consequences regarding  eternity-eternity does not exist. Man shares characteristics with both animals and God. We also see God's attributes in human creativity, reasoning and the ability to express love and purpose the holiness that existed before sin entered the world. The impulse to survive seen in every living thing cannot be described in biological terms; a divine Creator must have instilled this desire in each organism. Evolutionists suggest that the hope of an afterlife is a coping mechanism that has developed as a response to the bleakness of our existence, but God says it is a promise to all. Some will be in the presence of God and others will be cast into Hell.

Genesis 1:27 says, "So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them."

Trinity (God the Father)

The Father is God. Throughout Scripture God is said to a Father. Jesus taught his disciples to pray, "Our Father in heaven" (Matthew 6:9). God is not only "our heavenly Father" (Matthew 6:32) but the "Father of our spirits" (Hebrews 12:9). As God, He is the object of worship. Jesus told the woman of Samaria, "Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks." (John 4:23). God is not only called "our Father" (Romans 1:7) many times but also "The Father" (John 5:46 and John 6:27). He is also called "God the Father" (2 Corinthians 1:3). Paul proclaimed that "there is but one God, one Father" (1 Corinthians 8:6). Additionally, God is referred to as the "Father of our Lord Jesus Christ" (Romans 15:6). Indeed, the Father and the Son are often related by these very names in the same verse (Matthew 11:27 and 1 John 2:22).

Plans for the new decade (the year of 2020)

I wake up and there is an new decade and an fresh start. I do not follow New Year's Resolution but it is an popular idea. I believe that people mean well but they efforts seems like an poor attempt.

We will all fail but the key is to keep on going forward. Here are some words that will help you to get 20/20 vision in the year 2020.

I desire to bless people, so I am writing this blog. I hope that you can conquer life because of the strong words. There are times when I leave God out and I am doing on my strength. We need to add God to whatever we are doing. When I am doing an activity, I try to ask God to help me.

I like the verse in Hebrews 13:16 and it says, "And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased." What is done in Christ will last. If you want to become an better listeners, and listen to someone. If you are doing it for Jesus, Jesus will be pleased with your action.

We are not islands but we need to be part of an community. The loner even needs to be part of an smaller group. The believer in Jesus needs to be involved with an church so they can go.  That believer can also influence other believer in that church. Hebrews 13:17 says, "Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account.  Do this so that their work will be an joy, not a burden, for that would be no benefit to you."

I will begin to break down verse seventeen. We need to have confidence in the leadership of the church that we are going. I will warn you, not all churches are good. The good church will honor the Bible and Jesus. They will teach the Bible correctly. The false church will be an cult that be the only one in town and everyone else is wrong among true, Bible believing churches. If you are involved in that type of church, leave that church.  I will feel bad for that false teacher before God.

When you are involved in an church, be nice. Adults are just big children and that is how many people act in church. It seems that people will do the bad actions and cause divisions an dumb ideas.
Make you are Spirit lead and not self lead.

I enjoy verse eighteen. It says, "Pray for us. We are sure that we have an clear conscience and desired to honorably in every way." If you are reading the blog, please pray for me. I desire to have an pure life that honors Jesus. Prayer is the key for victory in the believers life.

I will finish up with verse nineteen. The verse says, "I particular urge you to pray so that I may be restored to you soon." You can pray for me that I will do the Lord's will in my life. I am praying that you will do what the Lord wants for you in the year of 2020. May you have 20/20 vision in Jesus, this  year.

Copying confusion

Molecules-to-man evolution requires the production of large amounts of new genetic information. In searching for possible mechanisms, evolutionists have sometimes pointed to the ability of cells to make, and retain, multiple copies of their DNA. If this were the source of evolution, one would expect to find a general increase in the amount of DNA as you move up the evolutionary tree of life. This, however, is not the case. Humans are certainly more complex organisms than bacteria and plants, but they have less DNA in general. The organism with the most DNA is actually a bacterium (Epulopiscium fishelsoni) that has at least 25 times as much as a human cell. There are also 85,000 copies of one of its genes for cell. If these extra copies of genes were indeed the raw material for evolutionary mechanisms to act on, this bacterium should be a hallmark of evolutionary adaptation-but it is still a bacterium.

Set free from this life

The instructions and examples of ministers, who honorably and comfortably closed their testimony, should be particularly remembered by survivors. And though their ministers were some dead, others dying, yet the great Head and High Priest of the church, the Bishop of their souls, ever lives, and is ever the same. Christ is the same in the Old Testament day. as in the gospel day, and will be so to his people for ever, equally merciful, powerful, and all-sufficient. Still he fills the hungry, encourages the trembling, and welcomes repenting sinners: still he rejects the proud and self-righteous, abhors mere profession, and teaches all whom he saves, to love righteousness, and to hate iniquity. Believers should seek to have their hearts established in simple dependence on free grace, by the Holy Spirit, which would comfort their hearts, and render them proof against delusion. Christ is both our Altar and our Sacrifice; he sanctifies the gift. The Lord's supper is the feast of the gospel passover. Having showed that keeping to the Levitical law would, according to its own rules, keep men from the Christian altar, the apostle adds, Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp; go forth from the ceremonial law, from sin, from the world, and from ourselves. Living by faith in Christ, set apart to God through his blood, let us willingly separate from this evil world. Sin, sinners, nor death, will not suffer us to continue long here; therefore let us go forth now by faith and seek in Christ the rest and peace which this world cannot afford us. Let us bring our sacrifices to this altar, and to this our High Priest, and offer them up by him. The sacrifice of praise to God, we should offer always. In this are worship and prayer, as well as thanksgiving.

Hebrews 13:7-15
Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings. It is good for our hearts to be strengthened by grace, not by eating ceremonial foods, which is of no benefit to those who do so. We have an altar from which those who minister at the tabernacle have no right to eat. The high priest carries the blood of animals into the Most Holy Place as a sin offering, but the bodies are burned outside the camp. And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood. Let us, then, go to him outside the camp, bearing the disgrace he bore. For here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city that is to come. Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name.
