There are many Jewish people that think that Moses was the greatest prophet. Numbers 12:7 says, "
But this is not true of my servant Moses, he is faithful in all my house."
It is true that Moses was a humble and great prophet but he was just a man. He was a man that was seeking after the Messiah.
Jesus came to this world and the God-man. He lived a perfect life and he died on the cross. He was the perfect sacrifice for all mankind's sin. He conquered death so we can be redeemed.
Jesus created Moses in his mother's womb so he is the Maker. Moses looked forward for the Messiah.
Moses was a sinful man but Jesus was the perfect Son of God. Everything is hold by the Lord Jesus.
The true student of the Old Testament will hold on to the teaching that Jesus is the Messiah.
He fulfilled many prophecies proving that he was from heaven, the God-man.
Hebrews 3:1-6
Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest. 2 He was faithful to the one who appointed him, just as Moses was faithful in all God’s house. 3 Jesus has been found worthy of greater honor than Moses, just as the builder of a house has greater honor than the house itself. 4 For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything. 5 “Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s house,”bearing witness to what would be spoken by God in the future. 6 But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory.
